Western Region Awards Program

To All Patrol Representatives and Awards Advisors:

This is a friendly reminder that the time of year has arrived to recognize our Outstanding Patroller in the Western Region. We have many patrollers who deserve recognition in our Region, but this cannot happen if Patrol Representatives and Patrol Awards Advisors do not submit their nominations to the Western Region Awards Committee.
The nominations for Outstanding Awards to be considered at our March meeting include the following:

Outstanding Student Patroller Outstanding Auxiliary Patroller
Outstanding Alpine Patroller Outstanding Nordic Patroller
Outstanding Professional Patroller Outstanding Administrative Patroller
Outstanding Small Alpine Patrol Outstanding Small Nordic Patrol
Outstanding Large Alpine Patrol Outstanding Large Nordic Patrol
Outstanding Instructor Outstanding Instructor (other than OEC)
Outstanding Patrol Representative

The following criteria must be followed in order for an outstanding nomination to be considered by the Awards Committee:

  1. All awards must be on the new forms supplied by the National Ski Patrol. These can be downloaded from the Western Region Web site, or from the National Ski Patrol Web site.

  2. All award nominations must be typed.

  3. Nominations for an OUTSTANDING AWARD must be in the third person. Any nomination not done in the third person, and/or naming the ski area or on letterhead of any kind will be returned to the sponsor.
