Many patrollers believe the
NSP is unsurpassed with respect to providing continuing education opportunities
for its members and the public. Inside, you'll find information relating to
the Basic & Senior Nordic Programs, Senior Emergency Management (formerly Senior
OEC), Senior Alpine Skiing & Toboggan, Senior Auxiliary, Certified Patroller,
Level I & Level II Avalanche, Level I & Level II Mountain Travel and Rescue (formerly
Mountaineering), Leadership Development (formerly Patroller
Enrichment), Ski Trainers Workshop, Alpine Ski & Toboggan Enhancement Seminars,
Instructor Development and mentoring, Patroller 101, and all of the related forms
and registration materials.

Take a moment to recognize our

Maybe you know a patroller who deserves an award for service above and beyond

Leaving active service doesn't
have to mean saying good-bye to the NSPS. If you are a former patroller and
you would like to maintain an affiliation with the National Ski Patrol, there's
a place for you as an NSP alumni member. You might be surprised to discover
the many ways alumni continue to serve our organization.
We've compiled a collection
of NSP and related documents to help support the understanding and management
of risk. Included are Patrol Officer Bulletins (POB's), memoranda, and articles
asserting the position of the National Ski Patrol on these issues. Included
also is the NSP Central Division Release of Liability form.
Inside you'll find links to Minnesota and Wisconsin statutes relating to volunteers
and the "Good Samaritan" laws. Provided also are links to resources addressing
infection control and the latex allergy.
Perhaps the best kept secrets
within the NSP are the extensive collections of support materials for our
members. Inside you'll find links to the NSP Policies and Procedures, Course
Registration, Order Tracking, Lending Library, Promotional
Resources, Ski Patrol Magazine Archives, and the Instructor's Web -- providing
education, training, and mentoring materials supporting every education program
offered by the NSP. Truly superb lesson plans and teaching aids have been
prepared by NSP officials, or have been donated by innovative instructors
and patrollers. You'll even find recipes and tips relating to the art and
science of applying moulage (available within the OEC section.)
And these materials are not just for instructors. All patrollers are welcome
to use these materials to improve their skills.

This page is devoted to providing
links to individual Patrol Web sites.
To help Patrols "get on the Web", our Region is willing to provide space in
the Region Web site for a Patrol home page and some specific Patrol documents
such as membership ("How do I join?") information, candidate information,
Basic OEC class schedule, on-the-hill toboggan-handling training schedule,
Patrol officer roster, etc.
Inside you'll also find links to some other very well done Patrol Web sites
in other Regions within our Division.
Inside is a collection of links
to some regional EMS agencies and wilderness EMS, search and rescue, avalanche,
and backcountry safety education organizations. You'll also find links to
Web sites containing information about Hepatitis, spinal cord injuries, latex
allergy, and the "S.T.A.R.T." triage algorithm.
Have a little fun and test your knowledge at the same time with some interesting
skill reviews and challenging EMS scenarios.
Especially noteworthy is a link to the new NSP Outdoor Emergency Care Online
Review Web site, which is designed to help patrollers evaluate their mastery
of material found in the fourth edition of Outdoor Emergency Care and
the OEC Refresher Study Guide.

our candidates. It will also be useful to folks thinking about joining a Patrol.
