WILD RIVER STATE PARK - The Y2K Western Region Nordic Workshop was conducted on February 12th where patrollers were greeted by falling snow! Howard Holz lead the morning session devoted to classical technique and included a basic Nordic ski proficiency evaluation for our now newest Nordic patroller, Roger Petry. Our afternoon, lead by Martin Fahje, focused on skating technique using a trail groomed by park rangers specifically for our workshop. Others in attendance were: Bill Lappen, Bob Iverson, Daryl Coons, Ben Wallace, and Mike Peters. Thanks to all who participated and Wild River Nordic Patrol who hosted our event.
